Bowdoin College is offering notary services for students, faculty, and staff who are handling big legal documents and need help. Meg Hart, the Legal Compliance Officer in the university’s Treasurer’s Office, came to Bowdoin after law school, and the university immediately requested that she take a notary public test.
Other Bowdoin employees across campus, in different departments, have become notaries public making their services available to community members. Documents these employees notarize deal with real estate, University business, and even marriages, and the notary services are especially useful for study abroad purposes. The notary public services at Bowdoin have proved very helpful across campus and continue to be a boon to students and professors alike.
